AGENDA

1. Introduction and welcome from the Chair

2. Apologies for absence

3. Declarations of interest

4. Resolutions to be voted on

Resolution 1: To accept Richard Hale as a Trustee for a term of three years,

Richard Hale: Richard grew up in a home where nothing was thrown away. Anything that got broken was fixed and if it couldn’t be fixed it was repurposed. He has also spent the last 25 years working exclusively for non profits in project management and problem solving roles. He is passionate about the local community and serves as a Trustee of the All Good Bookshop and has been a regular repairer for well over a year.

Resolution 2: To accept Suna Mohammed as a Trustee for a term of three years.

Suna Mohammed: Suna is a long-standing Haringey resident, living near Broadwater Farm. She has pursued a long career as a language teacher, fluent in both Arabic and French. She shares our passion for repair and re-use.

Resolution 3: To accept Oonagh Shiel as a Trustee for a term of three years.

Oonagh Shiel is guided by the four Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle and repair. A long-time resident of North London, she tries to live by the idea of ā€œwaste not, want notā€. An editor, teacher and project manager type, she’s a lifelong student and lover of learning, always curious and open to new ideas. Often to be found walking up and down the many hills of North London or tramping through Alexandra Palace and Highgate Woods.

Resolution 4: To accept Anna Rognaldsen as a Trustee for a term of three years.

Anna Rognaldsen has worked as a climate campaigner for many years and is passionate about not throwing things away (to the point of ridicule). A Haringey resident, she has also been involved in setting up a community collective and food distribution inĀ herĀ localĀ area.

Resolution 5: To accept Aiyesha De’terville as a Trustee for a term of three years.

Aiyesha De’terville: is a mum of 4 that lives and currently works in the borough of Haringey (Hornsey N8) as a playworker. Also, I volunteer to work in my local community centre on numerous projects to help improve and support my local community.

Growing up looking at my father working as a carpenter or my mother also being the person that dives into any DIY at home.
I’ve never been afraid to pick up a hammer and nails to try and put things back together myself or open up a hover to figure out the reason for a blockage. So joining Haringey fixers has been a joy while learning how to improve the skills i didn’t recognise I had, because growing up trying to fix what is broken was just something you did. So, using this to also help others to save their items from the scrap heap is a fun challenge.

Resolution 6: Having seen the advance copies linked to below, members will be asked to adopt\note the following:
a) The Annual Review from the Chair
b) The Annual Report from the Trustees for 2023/2024
c) The Financial Statement for 2023/2024 from theĀ Treasurer
